Bathroom Etiquette

When choosing a stall in the restroom, most people go for those that are empty as it makes using the restroom a more efficient, less complicated task. I, however, had the pleasure of being in a stall at work when another person decided that the bathroom space I was occupying was the stall for them. The fact that the door was closed and my feet were peeking out the bottom did not deter her in the least. Instead, after pulling on the door several times and my exclaiming "Someone is in here!", she finally succeeded in getting the door opened... and then had the nerve to look shocked that someone was in fact already using the stall. I shot her the "stink eye" and she quickly stammered something about not seeing me in there and sheepishly closed the door.

While this is normally something I would giggle about, after a very trying morning involving a crazy lady at work, this is the final straw. TGIF, but seriously, quittin' time can't come fast enough!

I've been a bad girl

Well, so much for regularly updating my blog, eh? I can't believe its been almost 2 months since I last posted an entry. Oops! In my defense, it has been a crazy past couple of months, but its time to play catch up. I'll summarize what I've been up to quickly, but I plan on devoting several blog entries to a few of these events so stay tuned!

1. Sadly, my grandfather passed away at the beginning of February. I flew home to the Bay Area to help my mom sort through all of the funeral arrangements and then stuck around for a little while to be with her and the family. She seems to be doing well with everything as he was very sick towards the end. I know its not easy to lose a parent (or grandparent), but we are all comforted that is in a better place now; at home with the Lord and his wife of 40 plus years.

2. One of my best friends got married this weekend in San Diego and it was a beautiful wedding! Not only was I helping here where I could with wedding prep, I was also helping to plan the shower and bachelorette parties, both of which turned out fab. Longer reviews of each of the above to follow soon.

3. My husban had another Lasik procedure on one of his eyes earlier this month and it went very well---much smoother than the first procedure. The eyes are now fixed and his vision is much better; no more headaches while working or watching tv. Woohoo!

4. I've been on a fitness/health kick since the end of February. I signed up for Spark People and so far, I love it! I'm down a few pounds and am just trying to eat healthier in general. I like that you can customize a program so that it works for you (no "one size fits all" mentality) and get support from a whole community of other folks who are trying to lose weight and get healthier. Check it out if you are looking for something to help you meet your weightloss or healthy living goals.

I'm sure there are other things I've been up to lately, but they are escaping my mind right now. I'm sure they'll come to me later... and I'll be sure to blog about them, promise!
