Nightmare

*part 2 of vino's bridal weekend will be up later this weekend*

While they don't happen frequently, I do have nightmares every so often. Vivid ones that leave me crying or petrified to go back to sleep. There isn't usually a trigger for them, they just come and go as they please.

I had one last night and it was one of the scariest things I've ever encountered in a dream or in real life. In the dream, I was taking a cab back to our house because I felt bad calling Jim and having him pick me up. After sort of going in the right direction, suddenly the driver took a hard right turn and we were in a dark garage on a dark alley. And he leaned over to me and asked "So, you want to have a little fun?"

I froze and my voice caught, but I was finally able to shout "Get the F*** off me!" and then I woke up.

I couldn't go back to sleep because I kept seeing the man's face in my head. So I tossed and turned for the next 3 hours or so until the alarm finally went off. I know it was just a dream, but I'm still really shaken up over this today. I've never been attacked in a dream or in real life and while I know it's not real, it's still really scary.

I just hope the rest of the weekend starts to look up a bit.

That sounds scary. Dreams are so real sometimes even when you know they're not at all based on reality, it kind of makes me wonder what other tricks our minds play on us!

Very scary. I completely understand how the effects of dreams can carry on throughout the day. I hope you have a very sweet dream tonight to counter that awful nightmare.

I have crazy "nightmares" so often I've learned to kind of control them. You have no idea how often I've had to save the world or my family from men with guns, knives, hiding in dark corners, with bombs......I'm not always successful in my dreams which always leads to lots of calls to loved ones the next morning to check on their health.

I love Kay's comment :) I also suffer from random scary nightmares. I hope you can shake it off and enjoy the rest of the beautiful weekend!

Eek! Poor thing. I can imagine it'd be super hard to get back to anything close to relaxed/sleepy after that...
